19th to 25th June 2023
Learning Disability
Week is organised by the mental health charity Mencap and every year they use
this week to educate and campaign to end discrimination, smash stigma and raise
awareness about learning disabilities.
This year, the focus is on “Living life with a learning disability” and
celebrating the amazing things that people with a learning disability can
achieve whilst also highlighting the stigma and misconceptions that many still
face every day.
