  The Health Library at County will remain open to users over the Christmas and New Year period. Access will be via swipe card as the PGMC building is closed. The library will be unstaffed from Wednesday 24^th December until Monday 5^th of January 2026.

Health Library at County Library Christmas Opening

We are pleased to announce that the Health Library at County is now open again following phase 1 of our refurbishment. Staff will be on hand to help until 4.30pm on Thursday 23rd December. After that the library will be self-service over Christmas for those with 24/7 access with swipecard at the side entrance. Normal service will resume on Tuesday 4th January when the PGMC will also reopen.

May Bank Holiday

Please note that the library will be self-service only on Monday for those with out of hours access due to the Bank Holiday. Staff will be available on site or contactable via the library email (library@uhnm.nhs.uk) Tues-Fri. You are advised to contact the library in advance to ensure someone is available to help you if you have an enquiry and are making a specific journey. 

The Health Library at County provides 24/7 access to members who have requested extended access otherwise the library can be accessed during PGMC opening hours.

Staffed hours next week

 The library remains open through lockdown although as mentioned previously staffed hours are subject to change.  We continue to work our normal hours off-site however and can be reached by email at library@uhnm.nhs.uk between 8.30 and 4pm Monday to Friday. 

We are staffed until 4pm each day next week but start times in the library vary between 8.30 and 9.30 am. On site hours for the next week are as follows:
