Sarcoma Awareness
Sarcoma Awareness Month - July 2023
Sarcoma Awareness
Month is observed every year in July with the aim of raising awareness of
sarcomas; rare cancers that develop in the supporting tissues of the body. There are two main types of sarcoma: soft
tissue sarcoma and bone sarcoma (primary bone cancer). According to Macmillan Cancer Support there
are around 4,300 people in England
diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma every year and around 550 people a year diagnosed
with primary bone cancer.
