December – Seasonal Affective Disorder Awareness

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Awareness Month aims to highlight the challenges faced by millions every year as the days grow shorter and darker. Many suffering this condition face detrimental impacts on both their physical and mental wellbeing as the disorder affects sleeping patterns, concentration levels, serotonin and melatonin levels.

ClinicalKey is here to support you with easily accessible evidence-based resources to help you make the right decisions at every step of patient care. We recognise the importance of having the latest research on hand to help you navigate complicated clinical questions.

Familiarise yourself with the resources available on ClinicalKey to help you identify, diagnose and treat your patients: Seasonal Affective Disorder – ClinicalKey

Bowel Cancer awareness

Decembeard 2024

“Grow a beard for bowel cancer”

Every December the charity, Bowel Cancer UK, asks people to ditch the razors and grow or style a beard to support everyone affected by bowel cancer.  According to their website, bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK, with around 44,000 people diagnosed every year. This campaign is aimed at raising awareness and funds to support research and treatment.
